"Great old home decorated well in the mountains of small town. Naps pool side under the veranda listening to the nature all around was a daily event. We had plans to go to Portifino but never made it. The property was a nice escape after being in very crowded cities. I would stay here again if I ever make it back to Italy. Luisa was very sweet and helpful when needed."

"Stayed for a week with our 4 kids in their late teens, early twenties. Good size of villa with plenty of space indoors and out. Incredible views. Weather cooler than anticipated so pool was a little chilly as not heated. Would have expected more luxurious bed linens, towels and pillows given the price. Concierge was very helpful with sightseeing and food information."

"Place was a little difficult to find, parking is tight, almost impossible to find 1 of our 3 nights, place is basic, outdated, and doesn’t have air conditioning. There was 1 non working unit by front door, bedrooms in lower level didn’t have air. Luckily the weather was very good and we didn’t need during the night. "The house is lovely. It's nice and big and we could spread out. The Property manager made sure we had everything we needed. But there are some drawbacks. The bathrooms don't have regular showers. Four of the five bathrooms have handheld showers in a bathtub which is a little difficult for Americans who are not used to it. The lighting in the kitchen is very poor and we like to cook. The utensils and pots and pans were also not great, and made it difficult to cook."

"The views from the villa are something else. If like me, you like taking pictures of the sunset then this is the place to stay. We travelled by train to Pisa and that was easy and straight forward. We used the villa as a base and went exploring."

The house has everything you can ask for when traveling with young children (e.g. washing machine, microwave, fence all around, baby bed). The large garden was perfect for our oldest son to play in.
