Welcome to the Iron Gate Chalet. Located a quick 4 mile ride from Smugglers Notch Resort on 8 picturesque private acres in the foothills of Mt. Mansfield. Enjoy our Vermont property year round; experiencing all four seasons and the plentiful outdoor activities this area offers! From skiing and snowboarding at Smugglers Notch, Stowe, and Bolton Valley in the winter; to world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and swimming in the spring, summer, and fall there is plenty to do for everyone!

Location Highlights: We are also located just down the road from the Barn at Smuggler's Notch (Wedding Venue), 4 miles to Smugglers Notch Resort, 7 miles to Boyden Valley Winery and Wedding Barn, and 10-15 minutes (summer) and 45-60 minutes (winter) from Stowe Resort.

Our 3 bedroom chalet has an open floor plan with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light. The master bedroom has one Queen bed. There are 2 bedrooms located downstairs, one with a queen bed and one with a twin over full bunk bed. The downstairs also boasts a cozy reading book! There is a flat screen Smart TV in the living room as well as fast WIFI which all guests have access to. Bring your Netflix login and have a cozy movie night! The house boasts a partially covered elevated deck with a BBQ grill and seating area which can be enjoyed year round. We also have horseshoe pits and corn hole boards available for your use!

Outdoor dining is an absolute must on our 8-foot long picnic table!
We are located directly off a town maintained dirt road and our guests have full access to the property and can enjoy 8 private wooded acres complete with an outdoor fire pit!

winter get away
We just stayed for a short period of 4 days but it felt like a longer vacation. The house is a true gem, with outside old charm and fully renovated inside. Everything was ready for us when we came, the rooms are nice size, clean and airy. It worked for us perfectly, the only thing we wish would be better was the weather. But no one can control Mother Nature. Thank you Haleigh and Antony for sharing your house with us!

The cleaning person spent about an hour Is this enough time for a quality clean of a large house?. Mattress,s are poor. As are sheet quality. It is a very nice place, with plenty of natural light.

Our family absolutely loved staying at the chalet! The owners clearly put a lot of time into updating it and the attention to detail really shows. Perfect vacation
What a wonderful experience! This is the perfect spot for a place to rejuvenate and enjoy quiet time with nature. The setting is peaceful and quiet with easy access to main roads. The house was absolutely perfect. Haleigh and Anthony thought of every detail to make the home accommodating, comfortable, and stress-free. The kitchen had everything you could need for at-home cooking and the home was spotlessly clean. The sunroom was our favorite location with the open windows and cool breezes. Our dogs had a blast running and playing outside.Thank you for sharing your special place with us! We hope to be back soon!

A big smile crossed my face when I opened the door to this clean, neat and tidy property. I think that it was the best of my dozen VRBO experiences. My family and I were skiing. Some of us drove in from the south up the mud bog. Coming in from VT 108 is recommended. My family could have used more towell bars.

Easy to find. Quiet, remote location, dog friendly. Very nice inside, well maintained, kitchen was well stocked for cooking there. Very comfortable place to stay. Heat worked well. About 2 miles from Smugglers' Notch Ski area. We hope to go back again!

The house was a delight! Such sweet touches that were noticed throughout~ from little bells that hung from the blanket rack in the living area to the small cast iron dog on the wall by the door to hang keys from his tail. Yes, sweetness, but also very well thought out to meet any renter's needs. We will return!

Weekend ski trip
Some friends and I stayed here for the weekend to ski smugglers notch, everything at the property was well kept and clean. Great place for friends or family to get out and enjoy each others company. Great family trip
We had an amazing time in Vermont. We are from Miami and wanted to see snow. The house was super comfortable and clean. They had everything you needed. The owners were also very nice and answered all or questions within minutes of asking. I already referred friends and family to come and stay at the house. The house is also close to the airport and Stowe. Definitely would recommend staying here! Thank you for opening your house to us we had a memorable trip.

Great cabin right near Smuggler's Notch
We really enjoyed our time at the property. Our kids could spread out and relax and we were so close to Stowe and everything it has to offer. We enjoyed nearby hikes and watering holes and loved hanging by the firepit in the back yard too. We would definitely come back!

This is one of my favorite rentals we have ever stayed at. In the area with our son who is hiking the long trail. We had our pups with us and felt that they were welcomed so nicely with a bed, toys and water bowl The cabin was super functional for our purposes. I’ve never been to the area outside of the ski season and had we had so much fun checking out rivers, waterfalls and mountains. The fire pit out back was perfect for the end of the day. We loved the futon room too felt like we were in a tree house. There wasn’t anything I would change about our stay. Communication by the host was exceptional.
