"Great base for exploring the beautiful area. Car essential. Highlight was our train ride from Lecco to Varenna and walk up to the castle. Host Nicolla very responsive and helpful. Thanks very much for milk/biscuits/prosecco! Very comfortable king sized bed. Second bedroom very small with a single bed that extends to a double- not ideal for two teenagers to share. Shower room small with limited hot water but temperature outside was so hot it was fine. Kitchen facilities more basic than expected,...

"Enjoyed our stay. Clean, organized, and fully equipped. There are many excellent hikes available to Refugios, church, etc. We hiked to a beautiful mountain church with a great view of the lake. Parking is in a lower parking lot with a short up hill walk."

"Thank you for a perfect stay. From the amazing view of the mountains and lake to the cafe for coffee and pastry in the morning and Rocco Pom for dinner. We wanted a place with a city-feel while quaint small town Italy. Hard to find, this was it. The apartment has everything. Super clean. Close drive to shopping. Perfect!"

"Lovely and clean property! Good bedroom and bathroom facilities with a nice view from the bedroom balcony. Only a 28 minute walk from the centre or 5 minutes on the metro. Some nice bars and restaurants around the apartment. Only negative is that it is not made clear that you will be sharing the house with the owner and their dog. However this did not affect us and was not disruptive in any way the dog is very cute :) "

"No heat in apartment! 40 degrees outside…seemed like 40 degrees inside! Owner promised to turn on heat “remotely” but didn’t. He knew heater wasn’t working. We checked out the next morning at 9am. We couldn’t take the cold! Owner still charged us for the second day."
