It was a great wind down in a beautiful setting with a home that had everything we needed to relax, chillout and be self sufficient. "This is an amazing property. So close to town but amazingly quiet. Everything has been thought of from a lovely breakfast platter to all the extras provided to cook with. Nothing has been overlooked. The stables accommodation is beautifully fitted out and immaculate. It is a great base to see the Adelaide Hills and visit to beautiful Barossa valley. "

"It was a great house for a group of people loved the area. some maintenance is needed - Toilet leaking on floor cistern broken ,running out of water while in shower ,9 people unable to use toilet in the morning the manager addressed this quickly but water pressure took a long time to come through ,a better pump is needed, shower fan not working ,a little garden maintenance .As a food safety supervisor I do not recommend leaving opened food in fridge and pantry ,you don't know how long it has...

"Stirling Cottage was picture perfect. The Stirling Main Street is beautiful and Stirling Hotel is a great place to go for dinner. The cottage is very well maintained, very clean, and well decorated. The garden is a great spot to sit for breakfast and listen to the birds. Michelle was amazing and provided a good selection of breakfast staples which lasted us the whole trip. She has thought of everything and provided a big selection of blankets and pillows and had electric blankets on each bed...

"Easy to enjoy. Staying in a renovated 160 year old building was great. The modern comforts of heating and cooling ensured a great stay. Help was close at hand but not in the way. "Gums and Roses was such a gem to find in the Adelaide Hills! We loved the tiny house; small but has everything you could need, and in the perfect location. Perfect for watching the horses and kangaroos and close to the pubs if you're after a meal at night. Our host was so nice and let us come and meet her horses which was great. "Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."
