"My wife Jo and I spent a very pleasant ten days at Mas Santol. The gite is very beautiful, in a great location not far from the charming small town of Ceret. We explored the area and also went further afield, to the beach at Le Racoul and into the mountains of Prats-de-Mollo. Martine and Serge were very nice to deal with. "The views from mas Carol are simply breathtaking - not a house in site in all directions, just endless forest up to the dramatic ridge of the Spanish border. The woods are quiet and peaceful, and there are marvellous walks from the front door - follow tree forest road up into the mountains till you reach a stream, where after a steep climb on an overgrown local trail you can join the grand randonée and have incredible views down towards Céret.
