"Overall this was an excellent stay for us. Great jumping off point to explore the Alentejo region. Is as listed, very homey and comfortable. The only issue we had was check in. Once this was resolved, Paola was wonderful."

"A casa é mas tem o essencial. A piscina é partilhada e é ideal para crianças, não é muito extensa. Na quinta, tem os animais, galinhas, gansos, perús e a burra, que é um sucesso com as crianças. Os donos foram muitos atenciosos. Gostaria repetir a estadia."

"A lovely, cosy Alentejo style cottage situated in a rural area surrounded by vineyards, cork and olive trees. Everything was as described in the listing and the local property manager was lovely and made the check-in and check-out process seamless. A nice welcome basket was awaiting us of local wine, cheese and bread. Sadly, the view of the fields from the back patio was blocked by overgrown vegetation during our stay. The lemon tree was full of fruit and we were encouraged to pick them to make...

"It was a great place in order to discover the beautiful areas of the region of Portugal. The village is very quiet and the people are charming, but the bakery opposite would bake in the evening which could mean smoke coming into garden if the wind was in the right direction. Despite this I would definitely stay again. Natalie was very good at arranging the pre-stay information. "

"We had an incredible stay in this lovely quiet village well away from the crowds of tourists. This gorgeous, large, cool, beautifully laid out house provided plenty of space for 8 people - 4 adults and 4 kids. The huge pool and garden area were fabulous and inside the big cool, airy, rooms equipped with a pool table, games room and a large comfy sitting room and spacious bedrooms meant everyone could spread out and properly relax. "What an amazing time we had in Orvalhos! The house sits on a hill where it overlooks the Alentejo plaines. In the mornings , the sounds of bells and birds always made me happy. The locals are just as nice! The house was very clean and it had all we needed. We kept it warm by using the fireplace every evening. "A casa e contexto em que está inserida é absolutamente fantástico e tem tudo o que uma família pode querer para descansar, relaxar, passear, brincar e refrescar. Fomos 3 adultos, 3 teenagers e uma cadela e ficámos todos rendidos. Sem dúvida a repetir!"

"Casa muito bonita, tipicamente alentejana, confortável, com tudo o que é necessário para passar um fim-de-semana ou até umas férias. Tudo como as fotografias mostram. Local muito tranquilo e fomos recebidos pela Paula que é extremamente simpática e prestável. Muito próximo existe um bar e restaurante e os donos também são muito simpáticos. Não chegamos a provar a comida. Para quem se desloca de carro, a casa fica muito bem localizada para conhecer várias cidades e vilas nas proximidades....

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff

"Amazingly beautiful hotel and spa! Front desk reception were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast selections were anything from cereal, yogurt to freshly made omelettes. Breakfast staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The marble throughout the building was gorgeous and opulent. We did not make use of the spa area at all, but it looked first rate. Our only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom. The magnifying mirror in our room (132) had no light and the room’s lighting not bright enough for my wife to put on makeup. "
