"The location is great and the rooms are very spacious and nice. Be careful if you book a balcony as they are not all the same and not as pictured. If you can get a sea view balcony and get it in writing. The staff is fine but not overly friendly but maybe that’s cultural? "

"The resort has an array of facilities – pools, basketball and soccer courts, restaurant and spa. They also have a fair amount of dining options. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. Georgia helped me find a local osteopath to treat a recurring back issue, which helped. I do think the house keeping of the rooms need to pay more attention to details – my room wasn’t swept properly and the bathroom has hair from the previous guest. "

"Very lovely, brand new waterfront property in Ortigia. When Apple Maps helpfully directed us to the property the wrong way down a one-way street, someone from the hotel came out to where we were and helped deal with the car. Overall very friendly and very nice. Great breakfast."

"We absolutely loved this hotel! I wish we could’ve stayed longer than one night. The hotel is very modern. Great location. Wonderful bar area and restaurant. The staff goes above and beyond. I would absolutely stay here again if given the chance."

"Great location for exploring Syracuse, especially close to the archeological park. Mostly friendly staff and good service in the restaurant for dinner. The room is a decent size, clean and has a powerful shower. The breakfast had a good range of options but the 'hot' food was cold. Would have been good to have some powdered or long-life milk provided in the room for tea, instead of needing to request some from the bar."

"The hotel managers were great at communicating our arrival time and showing us how to access the property after hours so we could go caddy-corner across the street and grab dinner after a long flight. The room was small but absolutely gorgeous and I loved the balcony. We received a breakfast voucher for the same cafe we went to for dinner and everything there was wonderful- save some room for dessert because they have so many beautiful and delicious desserts. "Check in was a nightmare. Family was supposed to meet host at airport with a cot - but he was no where to be found. Directions to villa were very scattered but finally arrived met by housekeeper and shown around the villa. It was old and in need of some updating but very comfortable for our party of 10. Beds and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Pool was lovely although it was still warm enough to swim in the sea. All in all a wonderful holiday."

"The house is spacious and comfortable, situated in a quiet but convenient area. Avola is 5 minutes away, the motorway linking Messina, Catania, Siracusa and Gela is also a few minutes drive from the house.A car is essential. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. If we had a problem they responded immediately. As for this area of Sicily there is lots to do. Beach lovers are well catered for and there are plenty of possibilities for hikers. "Great surprise! Wonderful hotel built on original historic architecture in the center of town. We arrived late but were greeted so well by Michel. He was very helpful as were the other staff at the front desk. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back! Oh yes, and lovely breakfast space."

"This was a last minute booking for one night at half 3 in the afternoon. What a fantastic find! There wasn't much around at the end of October and based on reviews and us having a car, we went for this. We wish we had had more time but needed a car to be returned to Syracuse by 11 next day :( I cannot say enough positive things about the place, the staff, the welcome, the price including breakfast and aside to the room, the gorgeous garden space and furniture. It was a calm relaxing area. We didn't use the pool being so late in but had a fabulous meal in the hotel with great service and good quality. The breakfast was as good. This hotel deserves to continue doing well as the staff are the best resource. Grazie per tutti x"

"The staff was so wonderful and warm to (Jaime Melo and Sal and Nonno Baglieri) special gratitude to Ritonela Federico and Biagio. They helped beyond expectation to all our needs. Changing of room was done immediately and smoothly. We all felt so welcomed and would promote this great Family resort to everyone who appreciates peace and quiet and amazing staff. Breakfast was an abundance of great fresh food and baked goods, all that one would expect and some. Us Canadians are so grateful. Thank you fresh"
