"Overall, the stay was very good and was perfect for our trip to the Lake District. The location is perfect for navigating the Lakes as easy access to the M6. To the top of the lakes, it took us 1 hour by car. The continental breakfast served was plenty to start each day with. "One night stop and very relaxing stay. Restaurant closed on a Monday so couldnt try food but breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful with Dan offering great service. Last drinks are 9 o clock but that's great as other pub/hotel arrangements can be noisy if you have gone to bed a bit early."

"The Inn was ideally situated, not too far from Settle and Malham Cove which was beautiful. Very welcoming and a special smiley reception from the delightful Poppy. Francesca too couldn’t do enough for us as we enjoyed Happy Hour and Over 60s good prices on evening meals. We’ll be back!"

"The staff here are incredible, so friendly and helpful. We stayed for a nearby wedding and they gave us an iron and iron board and taxi recommendations. "A lovely experience in a lovely location. We were most impressed with the efforts of the Manager and his staff to provide an excellent service and to make our stay a happy one. This hotel was a random choice and it was our first visit. It will not be our last."

"This hotel was fabulous. A lovely room with a fantastic view. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. A lovely breakfast to start the day. We were lucky that when we got back to the hotel after our friends daughters wedding reception we were treated to live folk music in a well stocked bar. A lovely relaxing end to a delightful day"

"Great hotel in a beautiful location. The views are beautiful. We had spacious but cosy room 3 on the top floor of a separate little building which was delightful. Fantastic views and a wonderful bath! We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. The staff are amazing, very attentive and friendly and make you feel at home. We definitely stay here again and for longer next time. "

"The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. "Excellent hotel. Staff very accommodating. Bedrooms beautiful and clean. Bathroom spacious. We had a lakeside room and the view was lovely. Pool and spa area lovely too, with excellent changing rooms. Gardens well kept, with plenty of seats to have an afternoon drink or just an hour relaxing and reading. Cannot recommend enough. Will definately consider on our next trip to the lakes. "

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast time, were especially helpful as I have mobility issues. The breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of choice. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the centre of Lancaster as well as on the lovely river side walk. We would definitely stay there again. "
