"We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to Chalets de Joy this year. The property is new, immaculately clean and spacious apartments. We love that the residence has the facilities of a modern alpine hotel, with the space and convenience of your own apartment. For winter ski lift access however, it is a 5 minute walk down a relatively steep hill with your ski equipment. We decided to drive down to the gondola instead, which was a little disappointing as we were not expecting this. "

"This property is in a location that has ski bus nearby so it is convenient. I don't know if everyone else realizes that the guest needs to clean up the place themselves and get it ready for the next guest. Thought there would be a final clean by the cleaning lady but clearly not. or you can pay for it. Just a reminder in case you don't know this already. The overall communication and follow up is ok. Excellent service, including the ability to buy lift passes at the inn rather than stand in line at the lifts. Very comfortable efficiency room with a deck looking at the mountains. "Dark and depressing, everything is brown, very little natural light, clean but very tired and very basic. This is not a Hotel, you have to make your own beds, staff unhelpful when we needed to move rooms because of the barking dog next door …. we asked if they could help move the linen and were told by them that that wasn’t there job why should they do it??? Maybe a misunderstanding as i thought we were booking a hotel room this feels more like a hostel ….. "
