"The property was a little run down. It was in a very isolate area so a car is a must. The house next door was in the middle of refurbishment so quite a lot of banging throughout the day and they also has a few dogs that barked quite a lot. There was only a 2 ring hob so it was quite difficult to cook a meal for 5. It was also very difficult to actually find the villa as we were not given the full directions before arrival. "The villa is just perfect. There are 3 big double bedrooms, all with their own bathroom. One of the bedrooms is annexed to the main house, which is perfect for parents who want a bit of space away from older children. Everything you need is there, it really feels like home. But the best part is the pool & the garden. We spent most of our time out there. The village is tiny but has a shop & a bar, & there is a big supermarket 10 minutes drive away. "The Gallery in the Garden is a beautiful family run hotel living up to its name as it has its own private swimming pool in a secluded garden full of plumb, apple, pear, fig and peach trees. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and hold everything you need for your stay. I am happy to recommend this hotel."

"The house was great but few things were missing, most importantly washing machine. It is rather complicated to stay more than a few nights there without doing the washing. Hopefully the owner will resolve this soon enough. The property manager was helpful, efficient and very responsive"

A great boutique hotel

"I was in Sofia for pleasure and very much enjoyed my stay. The hotel is conveniently located and it is clear they spent a lot of money completely rebuilding it. The photos on the walls of the property before show this. Quite incredible. All was very good. My only constructive feedback would be that there were no instructions in English how to use the safe. It turned out I needed a key that should’ve been given to me when I checked in. I also think if you’re there 4 nights as I was that the coffee and water should be replenished. "

"Superb hotel, location is excellent with very modern facilities. Friendly staff, with a great breakfast selection. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Borovets if we were to return. This is isn’t about the hotel but Borovets resort needs to start investing in new lifts etc - the lift pass cost has increased and the facilities should too. That’s why we wouldn’t return to the resort!"
