After a 43 hour flight from Malaysia, I really just wanted to crash for 1 night in Buenos Aires before embarking on a hiking adventure in Patagonia. Hotel Plaza Central Canning was the smartest choice I made, because it was only 15 minute cab ride from the airport (transfers conveniently prearranged by the reception in advance), and its location inside a strip/shopping mall gave me all the conveniences I needed to get warm meals and fresh fruits while I recovered from jet lag. Not to mention, the hotel offered a good rate (better than Banco Nacion at EZE airport) for me to exchange my USDs into pesos. The room came very well furnished and equipped so that i could rest comfortably. I had a view of the park which was very green and I saw lots of security around, which made me feel safe. Yeah, 5 out of 5, totally awesome. If I had had more time to explore Buenos Aires I would have totally stayed here longer.

The overall location was convenient to the EZE Airport( ~15 minutes). The front desk offered a driver option for 18K pesos and the driver arrived promptly. There are several food options within the area.

The pillows are very bulky and uncomfortable. The hotel is pretty basic for the price charged. Needs a refresh. Overall it's fine for a quick stopover before flying out and staff is exceptionally nice and helpful.

We checked in at 2am exhausted and requested extra pillows and a second hand towel (there was only one in the room). We were told we’d have to wait until morning to get those things. Seriously? A hand towel and pillows? The next morning we discovered the safe would not operate but she came quickly to fix it. The room had a kitchen sink and cabinets but no dishes, glasses, or utensils. No coffee maker or kettle either. No free bottled water. Our room seems unfinished; no pictures on the wall, no storage space in the bathroom, only 3 small drawers for clothes. Toiletries are okay. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet, the staff very nice. We slept very well. There is no restaurant or market in the hotel, but some restaurants in the attached “mall” has a few good options. *** also, a week prior to arriving I requested TWICE if the hotel could arrange airport pickup for us and the approximate cost. I never got a reply. (the taxi ride from the hotel cost us $30 USD) .
