Location is incredible. Jesus was just awesome. Home is older, but beautiful. Great separation of space. We were three couples so it was perfect. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Open air concept, so you need to be okay with nature and being outdoors. The pool is the perfect place to hang out. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Laid back vibe
Been going to Pedregal,Cabo San Lucas for 20 years so decided to try something more laid back. Right on the beach was fun; pool and hot tub was great (small added charge). Rented a UTV which was the highlight. Our 3 day stay was fun, then on to Cabo.

Great Location & Stunning Views
My family had a great visit at this lovely home. The view is amazing! Beds are comfortable, and the house is very clean. Heads up that the hot tub will not be heated unless you pay an extra fee per day. We were surprised this was not made more clear when we reserved, but luckily we were there in the middle of summer so we did not need the heated hot tub.

Peaceful home on the beach
We had an amazing time at this home. I just keep recalling how peaceful it was there. The kids could swim in the ocean right in front of the house without the fear of big waves that you experience in other parts of Los Cabos. The design of the house is beautiful and it was very clean. Beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub looking out over the Sea of Cortez. We loved exploring La Ribera and Los Barriles and went to the hot springs only half an hour away. We had dinner five minutes down the road at the Four Seasons on our last night. My favorite family dinner by far.

Home Away from Home
We had an amazing, relaxing vacation in this rental. Beautiful house in an excellent location. We loved the remote, country vibe. The beach feels like it’s your own. We loved walking on the beach, collecting shells, and fishing. Some days were very windy, but overall, perfect. Fernando was responsive and accommodating. Luchi and Ramon cooked two meals for us that were absolutely amazing! Cynthia came to house for the most relaxing massages - highly recommend! Everyone was super friendly and kind. We felt safe and right at home. Thanks for sharing your home!

Great Girls Getaway!
My girlfriends and I were looking for a beautiful, secluded place to recharge and reconnect. We found it here. The property was spacious and comfortable with astounding proximity and access to the ocean—right at our doorstep with views at every turn. The beach was ideal for serene walks, evening bonfires and raucous ATV rides. We enjoyed our adventure to Cabo Pulmo and outings into Los Barilles for lunch and groceries, and to hunt down local fishermen for their catch of the day. My friends and I loved being off the beaten path and seeing so few tourists. This part of Mexico is beautiful and untamed. The house fits right into the landscape. It's a special place.

Casa Alegre
We have been going to Mexico twice a year for a long time, we started going to all inclusive resorts, and have evolved to just wanting a quiet special place to relax. Without a doubt we found that with Casa Alegre! From the moment we arrived it was clear that this was a very special property. We were blessed with being able to see a turtle come out of the water and lay her eggs on the beach, to the 5 horses that live in the area and roam freely about. We had some windy days, but the sound of the surf, the beautiful sunrises and sunsets captivated us. We will be back! A special thank you to Fernando for being so helpful, and also to Lucy (Fernando's Aunt) and Christina who cooked for us and made our vacation just that more special!! Muchas Gracias!!! We are looking forward to a return visit very soon!!!

"Old Mexico" style on the beach
This home is in a great location if you're looking for quiet and relaxation. Beaches in Mexico are public, but traffic was minimal during our stay. The house manager was attentive and helpful. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and waking up to the view of the Sea of Cortez every morning was amazing. While we enjoyed the old school charm and style of the house, it is in need of some repairs. There are things like broken drawer pulls, loose door handles, and other general wear and tear items that need attention to bring the property back to its former glory. The internet connection wasn't great and went completely down a few times during our stay. This could be problematic if you were trying to have a working vacation. Maybe they'll upgrade to Starlink in the future, as many people in rural Mexico are now doing. Also worth noting is that the house cannot be completely locked. This is a low crime area and it didn't make us feel unsafe, but I wouldn't plan on leaving anything expensive or important laying around while away.

Best kept secret!
You know what they say... location, location, location. I have been to Cabo many times and this was the first time we decided to venture out from the resorts. I am glad we did. This spot was absolutely perfect. One of the concerns about venturing out from the tourist areas is safety. We felt totally safe here. Everyone was friendly and it was quite charming. There was not a lot by way of shopping, but there are several good, rustic, authentic restaurants. I recommend Resurante Piedras Gordas. Several small grocery stores met all our needs. We also did the hike to the hot springs and waterfall - both amazing! We could sit on the beach all day and see one or two people the entire day. The beach, it is calm, sandy, and perfect for swimming or sea kayaking. The pool and hot tub were great. There is a fire pit on the property and we had an enchanting fireside evening with the sounds of the ocean in the back ground. It doesn't get much better than that. The house is a little older and has a few things you would expect from a home of it's age, but very clean and charming. The beds were amazing. I don't know what sheets the host uses, but you will not want to get out of them in the morning! There was not a lot of negative to speak off but I will mention that the master bedroom and the pool house room are both fabulous. The 3rd bedroom does not have a view or ensuite. Best to decide ahead of time who is getting what room! All in all, the perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
My husband, 14 year old son and I vacationed at this gorgeous and magical home. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish! The home is gorgeous and just beautifully decorated. From the moment we walked in the front door the view was breathtaking. The house is spacious and was spotless. We opened up all of the sliding doors and had a very open air experience. Each of the 3 bedrooms have a very private set up. The master is on one side of the house with stunning views of the backyard area, beach and sea, and the bathroom is spacious. The bungalow by the pool where our son stayed is completely detached with an amazing front row view of the beach and sea and has a generous seating area and good sized full bathroom. The third bedroom is off of the pool area - we didn't use it but it was cozy and just a few steps away from yet another nice sized full bathroom. The owner was very communicative and provided thorough information with directions, wifi access, pool use, and grill egg use. She provided contact info for the property manager, Fernando - and I cannot say enough good things about him. If you don't have WhatsApp - that's a preferred method of communication and very easy to download. Fernando was polite, friendly, consistent and responsive. He can help with anything from questions about the house to setting up personal chefs, having an ATV delivered, setting up tours to the waterfall, transportation to and from the airport - really anything you need. It was really great to have him as a main point of contact and to know that he was there for anything we needed. The staff working for him was wonderful as well. Fernando is an absolute gem. We were there for 6 days and it was hard to leave the house because it was just so beautiful! I recommend paying the extra fee for the propane to heat the pool and the hottub. The property has 2 kayaks and we enjoyed using them. There are two beautiful thatched umbrellas on the beach with several lounge chairs. We really felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. But we were still within a short driving distance of towns with restaurants and grocery stores. There's not enough space in this review to emphasize what an amazing experience we had and how special this home is as well as its amenities and location. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time and we will definitely be back! From relaxing on the beach to snorkeling and riding the beach on the ATV - it was amazing and we will return!

Great location but 3.5 overall rating (no room for .5 in the rating above)
Great location, right on the beach - we saw whales and flying fish. We were surprised about the construction next door - 2 crews working 6 days a week from 7 am to 5 pm. The good news for future renters is that the construction is getting close to the end. The house was as it appears in the photos - it is also for sale for those who really like it :) It was clean (and the beds were great) but it was tired and lacking in some standard items: • The extra large dinner plates didn’t fit in the dishwasher and there was no draining board. There were no tea towels (or any kitchen towels) and we used our bath towels to dry them. There weren’t enough bowls (2 or 3) or wine glasses (5) for our group of 6 people. It was agreed that we could purchase tea towels, dish cloths, bowls, and wine glasses, and the owner has reimbursed us for the purchases, but these items should have been available from the beginning. • There were 4 beach towels (for 6 of us), and very limited snorkeling equipment. • We had to ask for the hot tub to be heated. • One burner on the gas stove worked properly, three were very weak (low), and one didn't work at all. • One toilet seat was broken on arrival and another one was so small that more than an inch of the porcelain toilet was uncovered at the front and one side. The cold water tap in that toilet didn't work. • Only one of the sets of doors had screens. We became friends with a gentle local dog who visited when the doors were open, but we didn’t feel comfortable opening windows/doors at night without screens (especially in the casita closest to the beach) not knowing what else would come to visit. We corrected a few things in the welcome booklet including the internet server name and the password. We think that the stated garbage day is wrong as well but we weren't there for a second pick up to make sure. It isn't possible to walk along the beach to the Four Seasons for food or a drink - we were escorted off their beach by security guards. There was no check-in or out. The house was open for us on arrival with the key on the side table - we did the same when we left. We didn’t see Fernando much (once) but he was very accessible through WhatsApp. We had Lucia, the cook, on two nights - we recommend her ☺ We shared our concerns with the owner - she thanked us and said she will look into them. We had a good holiday - the location is great (except for the construction) - but the property needs some attention.

Beautiful spot
We really enjoyed our stay. The location right on the beach was special, although we hit a very windy patch of weather that kept the kids out of the water most of the trip. The hot tub was a key feature for us as the weather wasn't always very warm. The house is beautiful and was clean, beds and linens were nice, but the kitchen was a little low on amenities for a family that really likes to cook, as we do. Overall a very nice place to spend a family vacation!

Great location
Great location, house can use a few minor repairs and some updating. The landscaping, grounds, and beach access are very nice. The pool heater was broken so we could not use the hot tub or pool. The sliding doors are very hard to open and could use some repair. Overall the beds, rooms, and baths are ok. We did not spend much time at the house other than to sleep as we spent most of our time exploring the beaches and towns from a rented ATV. The property manager Fernando was very helpful and quick to reply to our texts.

Beautiful setting in a rustic part of Mexico
Walking into the house for the first time was pretty breathtaking given the massive windows overlooking the perfect sandy beach. The house was a great place to spend a week with my wife and 4 of our friends. Given the location in rural Mexico, you should have realistic expectations of the house - not everything will be perfect on any given day, but your overall experience should be great. Fernando and Manuel were very responsive to our questions and concerns, and they were a great help in booking dinner at the house, ATVs, airport taxis, etc. Some local advice: Dinner out in La Ribera is better for driving a shorter distance at night, but with fewer options than the further Los Barilles. We did an ATV rental and rode to Canon de la Zorra, which was an adventure we won't forget. Snorkeling in Cabo Pulmo was fantastic.

Beautiful get away
This is a great place in a beautiful location. We had such a relaxing and peaceful time. The beach feels like it’s your own…there are so few people here. Is it a modern brand new home ? No. But it is comfortable, architecturally appropriate, classically rustic and meets all your needs (wifi, a/c, bbq, kitchen equipment, comfy and nice beds and linens) and perfect to the location and vibe. We loved how open the place was and enjoyed the warm ocean breeze. Pool and hot tub functioned well(for extra fee). Beach and water were pristine…sandy bottom. Was great for lots of swimming and paddling. Fernando and crew were responsive and wonderful. It is a bit of a drive on a dirt road to get to the house. so be prepared. About 25 minute drive or ATV ride to town, which we loved but not everyone would want. Lucy and Ramon brought us dinners that were perfect! Everyone super friendly and kind. Felt very safe, liked the vibe and will return. Thanks for sharing your home!

How is it possible this property is rated 5 start and lists as a Super Host??
The April 2021 review from Julia P ( a week before our stay) sums it all up, location stunning, property in need of serious updating, cleaning and maintenance. Unfortunately the owners don't allow you to cancel even during the peak of covid in 2020 so the only option the owner provided was to rebook for 2021. Owners offered us in writing they'd provide us 2 free nights and free chef services to better the rebooking but they would not follow through when the time came and did not provide. Broken ACs in Master and Casita-Fernando could not fix and no screens so you either roast or get eaten alive by mosquitos if you keep the windows open at night. Not all windows would even open. Bugs everywhere in the bathrooms, tooth brush full of them. Standing in ankle deep water in showers. House in need of deep cleaning. I had to scrub down the trash compactor nearby walls to remove all the food crud stuck on the walls, hoping to cut down on the bugs. Ceiling fans inches of dirt on them, not all working either. Only 2 of 5 burners barely work on stove. We had 6 adults in our group difficult to cook meals-chef that we arranged to come to cook advised worst equipped kitchen and stove/oven ever. Discussed this with owner before arriving and still they did not fix. Luckily we took pictures of some of this as they tried to blame us for damage and keep our $1000 security deposit too. This property is extremely worn down and outdated when you get up close. The beds although nice, as the April guests mentioned in her review, the sheets in the ocean front casita had stains on them, no wash clothes. Open wiring light switch panel in the casita. Fernando is the best -very responsive to our daily calls about the pool problems, stove and AC not working but he can only do so much. The owners need to loose their super host status and 5 star rating until these things are improved. The place has NOT been recently renovated as the listing states. In researching I found some of the misleading reviews were done by the owners family members-not unbiased guests. Luckily I took pictures of many things when we arrived as they tried to keep our $1000 deposit advising we broke a pane of glass until I advised of all the pictures I took of the broken glass, the gross dirty broken AC units, etc was I told I would get my full deposit returned. It is really too bad because the beach location is the best. VRBO needs to remove Superhost 5 star status. It's not REAL
