"This home was very peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, there's a wood stove with wood on the back porch, and overall everything was really pleasant. I would only caution people who are sensitive to fragrance to perhaps skip this one. With best intentions, there were several products used to create a pleasant atmosphere but the combined effect was overwhelming. Host was accessible, friendly and accommodating. "

This property has plenty of room so we could all gather at this property and enjoy each other's company without the distractions from ordinary life. "We very much enjoyed our stay which was booked for the Mountain State Forest Festival. It’s just a short drive to Elkins, so the house was conveniently located and the hosts provide a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and even a few games to play. Host was very accommodating. If you aren’t accustomed to sleeping on a bamboo pillow, you might consider bringing your own. This was a wonderful place stay - highly recommended! "

"This was our second stay at Riverside Retreat and we hope to come back in the future. The cabin is clean, it has a great open floor plan, and the bed is super comfortable. The best feature of the property is the back porch. The view of the river is lovely and we spent hours watching the ducks, kingfishers, and hawks. Our dogs were in heaven, too!"
