"Really impressed. Surpassed my expectations. The property is updated, the carpets more modern than similar hotels, and the room is clean with two large sinks. Definitely updated. Love the the bigger pump style toiletry bottles, warm water, swimming pool and the best part, the large room we stayed in! Very pleased. My teen girls are very impressed. The only downside is because it's a tourist town and it's off season, many restaurants were closed. Dixie Saloon was the only restaurant that was open. Not the hotel's fault. Will definitely stay here again next time around. I'm looking forward to breakfast!"

"We had an excellent 3 days and 2 nights. Everything is clean, bug free, and the staff are super friendly. Anything we asked for was promptly provided. Breakfast was prepared perfectly, kept clean, and well stocked from 6-10 am both days. They had the sausage patties and today there were also cheese omlets. :) The coffee is fabulous and they offer cocoa and a variety of hot tea choices. The room refrigerator is a good size with a tiny freezer. The pool was large and 9ft deep at one end! My husband and Son are both 6 ft tall so don't normally get pools over their head which made for fun water games. My grandson is 6. He loved the shallow end and said it was warm enough. The hot tub is good size and has 6 large jets. People have commented about the hot tub being dirty but in fact had a rust stain that does not affect the water. We thought the beds were comfortable, clean, and well made but could use some better pillows. On check out day we were slow moving and asked for a late check out. They happily allowed us an extra hour! The property is close to a shopping center. We made a trip to dollar tree for some coloring supplies and that kept my grandson super calm when we needed to be. Theres a walkable convenience store, and easy to get jets pizza delivery. That was really good pizza btw. "

"The property has a unique architecture that we like. The panoramic views of the bay from the dining hall were gorgeous especially after the snow fall. The noggin pup made you feel like you were in a speak easy."

"Was given a room on second floor. However, only way to het there was in pool area with narrow steps. Not the safest. "

"At check in I felt very welcomed. They were extremely welcoming. Through out the entire stay the staff was incredible. Accommodations were exceptional. We are planning on booking the same room again."

"Very nice check-in staff. Spacious, clean comfortable room and beds. Wonderful swimming pool and hot tub. Close to historical downtown. A great breakfast that is available early at 6:30 for us early risers. Coffee in room and available 24/7 in lobby. We love staying at Apple Tree Inn when we visit Petoskey ."
