"This place was ideal for me on my journey across the UK. I called to inform of check in quite late, e.g. 8.30-9pm, was no trouble and even offered food if I was going to be later. Arrived around 8pm, all the food looked good, lovely menu for indian cuisine. Rooms are in a building adjacent, can park outside your room. nice and clean, bottled water & toiletries - a little dated in some aspects but nothing wrong, will use again."

"A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"Had an excellent stay here, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms spotless, food excellent for both evening meal and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the room maybe needs some slight updating, the carpet was coming away from the wall and was fraying and the kettle had to be used on the floor as the flex didnt reach the plug socket. "My only worry was the noise from outside the room from the kitchen extractor fan, or something. However it was turned off from 21:45 to 07:00ish, if I remember correctly. So no complaints. "

"Pub is closed on Sunday evenings and Monday morning so only contact we had was to pick key up, so cannot really comment on service. Lodge was clean but looking a bit tired, but was fine for a one night stay. "
