"We spent 10 wonderful days at The Verandah Resort. I previously stayed here 11 years ago and have always wanted to return and we were not disappointed. The setting amongst 30 acres of lush tropical gardens is simply spectacular. The rooms are all semi detached villa suites set amongst the gardens. We booked a Waterfront Suite which gave amazing views over the bay. Sitting on the balcony in the early morning and evening watching the pelicans and other bird life were priceless times of the day. There is a good range of restaurants- our favourite was Portofinos with a delicious menu of Italian dishes cooked to perfection. The quieter Rasta beach was perfect for chilling under the palm trees and walking across the sand to the beach grill for cocktails and lovely grilled dishes. One of the highlights of our stay was a tour of the plant nursery by Charles, the head gardener. His knowledge and enthusiasm was amazing and I felt very privileged that he gave up his time to share his love of the gardens. The feature of The Verandah which tops all others are the amazing staff. They are friendly, always laughing and enthusiastic and nothing is too much bother. A special mention to the lovely Nicole in Portofinos, the staff at the beach grill and all the buggy drivers! We hope to come back soon. Truly a very, very special place in paradise!"

" Thank you for an overall Amazing stay. From the moment we booked to the moment we left Cheri was an amazing host. Prior to our arrival, Cheri was in communication with great tips and lots of useful information. The check in process was easy and instructions were clear. We met Cheri within a few minutes of arrival at the property. Any issues that came up during our stay Cheri addressed then quickly and provided updates as needed. The property is great for a group of friend or family. We all loved the layout of the property. We loved the furniture as it felt modern and a home away from home. It is walking distance from the beach, which was great for our morning swims. The drive to the property is a little long, but for what you get it is worth it. "

"Beatifull overall property with lovely view from balcony. Very warm and would benefit from air conditioning in main room especially when the smell from the sargasssim is bad and you want to keep the doors closed. The onsite ocean swimming is weak and a car is essential to explore any beach or to eat out and grocery shop. The onsite restaurant is closed so absolutely no eating options available without a car. We enjoyed the island, especially English Harbor. Off Galleon beach you can routinely see sea turtles while snorkelling. "

"Stayed for a week in March… Couldn’t ask for more. Spotless accommodations, very spacious with lots of modern amenities and private parking. Spent relaxing mornings on the porch enjoying the gorgeous gardens. And of course, the pool! About 5 mins from the beach and tourist attractions. Everything you need to stay in and relax or go in and out safely. I really enjoyed my stay. Can’t recommend enough. Host was pleasant and helpful."
