"We received a warm welcome from the staff at this very popular Inn in the village of Hardraw. Our room was compact, clean and cosy, with an ensuite shower, basin and toilet, very nicely decorated and furnished and with a view over the adjacent churchyard. Due to the popularity of the Inn together with the fact that it shares a carpark with the adjacent Hardraw Force Waterfall & Tearoom, parking can be tight, but we were lucky and managed to find a space throughout our two night stay. "What a great find. The perfect stop off on our way to the Highlands. The room (room 5) was incredibly spacious and clean. "Loved our stay, great location. Our room was compact, but well appointed and clean. Only minor gripe being a very small shower. Absolute highlight was our host Roxana. Lovely from start to finish, friendly, helpful and an amazing chef because breakfast was awesome. Will definitely return when we go back to the Dales. "

"I loved this property. Angela, the owner, was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I loved that it was a farm and enjoyed the drive back and forward each day. One day we were stopped as a dog got all the sheep into one little area. It is not far away from where we wanted to be and we went to Beatrix Potter Hilltop house and the attraction. As well as House on the bridge and the famous gingerbread place at Gracemere. "

"We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated. The grounds were lovely, but unfortunately it rained every day we stayed there, so we couldn’t really explore them. However, we did discover a chocolate factory in the village which we very much enjoyed, as well as a very tasty cafe for a full English breakfast nearby. It’s centrally located for visits to both the Yorkshire Dales...
