"I was blown away by this property and the property managers. Words don't do it justice. It's adorable, unique, clean, peaceful and there is something enjoyable for everyone of all ages. From the downstairs bookstore just casually available in the living room, the fireplace, to the field of flowers in the back, and the screened in porch, to the refurbished bathtub reading nook. It was a magical place on a magical island and the perfect stay! "

"The house was nice and the owner was great to deal with, she provided a lot of local knowledge on things to do. I will say that it is on a surprisingly busy road. But the horses were great and the family loved to give them apple slices and carrots. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. Also it’s not too far from Bar Harbor and Arcadia."

As with most older homes with older furnishings there is always extra mantenance needed over the years (having grown up in a house in Uk that was Elizabethan at one end and Georgian at the other I can attest to that!) A small screened in porch, a deck, large flat granite rocks, the outside seating options are numerous.
