"Delightful Tudor pub with 7 bedrooms in a quiet village. Tis was a perfect stopover and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast in the main pub area in the morning. Will definitely come back and recommend."

"We were upgraded when we arrived to a room at the front with sea views from both windows. There was a nespresso machine and coffee and tea facility’s. The room rate included breakfast which was a choice of fruit, pastry’s breads and jams and a choice of various cooked breakfasts we out juice and hot drinks. The breakfast was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly . Highly recommend a stay here. "

"Bathroom could use a little TLC but fit for purpose. Amazing breakfast that more than made up for any minor cosmetic items. The land-people, actually all of the staff were so welcoming. Definitely worth a visit or night over."

"Wonderful from start to finish! Beautiful rooms which are set round the back of the pub and are more like little houses! Felt so safe and slept so well, the beds are like clouds! Beautiful quaint little pub where we had our breakfast the next day which was cooked to perfection! Leah was very attentive and the perfect host. The rooms were very clean and had everything you need! "

"We had a fantastic stay at Dukes. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and we were really impressed with the size of it. Location is perfect, meant we didn’t have to drive once we arrived in Sidmouth. Breakfast was an extra treat too! We will definitely be back!"

The room, although compact, had everything we needed with ample storage for a few days clothing, a comfortable bed and tea & coffee facilities. The ensuite had a good, but not spacious, shower, however, the window was clear glass without a blind and it did feel like you were a little exposed when using the bathroom. "The family rooms more like an apartment were excellent. Everything you needed in the room including dvds for the kids. The host was brilliant and locals in the bar were welcoming. The location and setting lovely. Would recommend to stopping here"
