"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. "If I could rate our stay 10000/10 I would. Staff friendliness and kindness went above and beyond. The cleanliness of the hotel and the room was impressive and the bed made us feel like sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was lovely as well. Also it’s a 15 minute walk to Burley Village. "Excellent stay for our trip to The New Forest. The room was cosy, had everything that was needed from table n chairs, two comfy chairs, very comfy bed and pillows. Iron and board, towels, wash flannel, all wash/cleaning equipment, mini cooker, toaster, pint milk in fridge. Everything was perfect. I would say though that coyld have done with a better iron as it didn't seem to iron properly. Apart from that the stay was excellent. Would definately recommend. "

"The photo is taken from the back garden so the front looks nothing like expected. The location is lovely but the house itself needs modernisation. It was relatively clean but smelt a bit musty.
