"Unexpectedly good. Beautiful Georgian Square close to the harbour. Good facilities in the pub, excellent food and great service. In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. "The olde windmill inn is a great place to stay. The beer garden is lovely with mature tree's and a feel of tranquility. The pub is a lovely old building with lots of character and little nooks to sit in. The food is nice with traditional dishes on the menu and they offer a great cooked breakfast. The staff are so helpful and freindly and really made us feel welcome. The room was really nice , spacious with everything thing you need. We will be staying here again!"

"Staff were superb and food was as excellent as always. Bar furniture looks a little dated and could use a deep clean in places, but very comfortable. Bed was superb and the room excellent. The underfloor heating takes ages to warm the room and as it was very cold, it would have been nicer if it had been turned up a while before arrival. Minor points though. Overall extremely good and we will certainly be back."

"The room looked ok but on closer inspection not so good! Bathroom had mould in the tile grout in the shower and the remaining bathroom was bare plaster. The toilet seat was not attached properly. The bathroom had some sort of sewage maceration system that would go off every hour throughout the night! Nobody knew how the tv worked!! Four remotes for 1 tv!! "This hotel is under new management and no longer uses OYO as a booking agent. When we arrived OYO had not sent through our booking - this was not hotels.com's fault. The new management team kindly allowed us to stay at no extra cost. I have contacted hotels.com regarding this and hope they will make sure that this hotel is given as much help as possible. The team are working hard to make this a great place to stay."

"Owners could not have been more welcoming and accomodating. We stayed here whilst visiting Thrusford Spectacular show. We had a lovely lunch before we we left for the show all plates were empty and everyone enjoyed the meal. Would highly recommend this friendly in for a stay."
