"The staff at this hotel are so nice. The breakfast is really good. My room was comfortable, a little spartan but that was fine. Everything I needed was there. I love the lobby, I don’t know if you’d all it art deco or faded grandeur but I really did like it. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. The sea is 5 minutes walk in one direction, including the ferry terminal. The railway station 10 minutes in the other. I was very comfortable here."

"An unhappy experience. When we arrived at our hotel we were told it was closed due to a "technical problem" and that we were booked in a different hotel. While the other hotel was very well situated, it was tired looking, no wi-fi in the rooms, and we had the worst room in the hotel, looking out on a service courtyard instead of a sea view. Heating rails in the bathroom did not work. No window or extractor fan in the bathroom either."

"It started with a very pleasant check-in and car parking. The lady at reception was exceptionally helpful. The hotel is centrally located so access to the main attractions was close by. The breakfast was great. Hotel also provides coffee making facilities in the room. But do get buy milk."

"This is a gracious hotel built in the late 1800s. It is being kept neat, clean but perhaps not as totally polished as it once was. It is begging for the beautiful bar area to be re-opened; what an opportunity for style an comfort. The lack of a dinner restaurant (there are hundreds nearby) is partially made up for the nicest, most gracious, complete breakfast we had in Italy -- and the enjoyment of this was augmented considerably by the kind gentleman who provided coffee to your liking.
