First time when we visited Tenuta Mazzetta we were taken by the tranquility of this place - amazing pool, beautiful gardens, very friendly and welcoming staff and this rustic farmy feel. This year we were positively surprised how much care the staff puts in to this place. "An unhappy experience. When we arrived at our hotel we were told it was closed due to a "technical problem" and that we were booked in a different hotel. While the other hotel was very well situated, it was tired looking, no wi-fi in the rooms, and we had the worst room in the hotel, looking out on a service courtyard instead of a sea view. Heating rails in the bathroom did not work. No window or extractor fan in the bathroom either."

Otherwise, you it is Extremely hard to find any taxis. Someone had to call 6 taxi companies before anyone responded and then they still didn't show up. My 80 year old mom and I had to hitch hike from the port."
