"Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"I went to Diss to see friends & colleagues. On arrival no one was there to meet me as I had arrived early. There was no way of contacting the proprietor. They were on holiday, their adult daughter & son in law were taking care of bookings/stays. I had to wait for them to come home from work. The son in law was the first to arrive and was friendly & apologetic. The daughter arrived and she was equally lovely. The room was so nice and comfortable. I had a fantastic sleep & enjoyed my stay. "Forget a bicycle made for two, Munnings is an Air b and B made for you. Situated in the historic village of Mendham with plenty of off road parking, the Lodge is a gem. Tracey and Paul were warm, welcoming and helpful hosts ( in spite of the fact they had not received my booking from VRBO!!) The area has plenty of historic towns and villages, ideal for sightseeing and walking. And by the way, the Lodge and is two minutes walk from a pub serving excellent food."
