"it was just what we were looking for . . . a few minor things need looking at - a few more pots and pans. We couldn't;t get the woodturner to stop leaking smoke. But no big complaints - I'd recommend it"

"Gorgeous farmhouse, in beautiful surroundings. A few more cobwebs than we’d expect, and some issues with lighting (a kitchen light that stays on for 3 seconds, then has a rest for a second, then back on etc etc. Some of the information for guests could be updated or made clearer ie where some facilities are, refuse disposal etc, and some of the basics like a sharp knife would be helpful, but to be fair, the owner and the cleaner were both incredibly helpful."

The only thing i can fault is the listing said there was a hot tub and upon arrival this was not the case. Which is a shame as this was a major reason of us booking. "This was my first trip to this Hotel. Friendly staff on arrival and during stay. Room clean tidy and quiet and well stocked with tea milk and coffee. Air con worked and you could open the windows for some fresh sea air. I used the restaurant for my evening meal and breakfast. Food service was quick with hot and good pub food. Breakfast was great again with friendly staff. My only minor issue (third world problem) was that breakfast service didn’t start until 8am, which is a bit late if you are on business. I would definitely stay again when next on business in the area. I was initially a bit hesitant because of some pretty damming past reviews but I was very satisfied with my 1 night business stay."

Comfortable, cosy and welcoming

"The lady who checked us in was so lovely. We had a warm welcome and the room was cosy and lovely and warm. The bed was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff were very attentive. The dog was very welcome and he really enjoyed the stay too. I would highly recommend and we will be back soon."
