"Don't stay here. Rooms smell like sewage problems. Showed up and armed guards were all over the place ."

"Love this old Sino Portuguese property in Old Town. Love d it. The area is butane, amazing food options, amazing building, and street parking is easier than it seems, if you find the reason to have a car. Car actually đặt around unused for a day. No worries about moving it, etc."

"The place and stay were beautiful! The only thing that I didn’t like was that there were insects everywhere, I was reaching for coffee that’s provided with the room and there was an ant trail going up the wall then when I came home I found lizard under my clothes that I set by the sink. If small insects bother you I would pass on this place but if you can deal then this is a nice stay"

"Perfect location. Can walk to green mango etc. Its not a hotel so didn't have room cleaned daily etc. It's more like a condo. For a week it was perfect. Friendly reception but not 24 hours. "

"i must say I found the hotel rather basic upon arrival with the bathroom in particular being due for a facelift. Room had windows, but they open facing a wall. On the positive side it was clean, quiet, staff was friendly and location is great for both a nice spot on the beach and sufficiently far away from the loud nightlife, although it was still an easy walk. Would return!"

"The Samui Star Guest House is a great value for the money. You will be only minutes to downtown Chaweng and seconds away from the main ring road. The hotel is quiet and peaceful and the bed was very comfortable. The swimming pool looked nice although I didn't swim. The management was very friendly and welcoming. The quality of the building and the room was a bit lackluster. Cheap construction with a few missing important details...such as a bathroom door. However, for the price the value is...

"This was a great experience to have a holiday in a private villa with your own pool overlooking the beach. The villa's are starting to become a bit run down and need some updating, however they are kept very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a lot of rubbish on the beach, making it hard to enjoy with the kids, but this seems to be a problem throughout the island.
