"It was nice to have a place to gather instead of spending the money for a hotel, but it wasn't as comfortable. I understand that you don't want to ruin furniture when you are renting out to people, because you just never know, but there really wasn't any comfortable seating in the den and everything is so low. "Interesting old cabin in a pretty location. The kitchen was well supplied with all cooking items we needed. Furnace worked great, and the fireplace was very nice as well. Plenty of space. Only downside was the first night was breezy and one bedroom had some gaps in the walls where the chinking had fallen out--a wee bit drafty. All in all, a fun place though."

"It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat...

"We loved our time at Bay Cabin! The house offered everything we could want for our vacation with two young kids. Close proximity to the beach at Barrett’s Park and downtown was so nice. It was great to be able to cook at home when needed and to be able to walk to restaurants and stores in less than ten minutes. Our older son asked if we could just move in and stay forever. Highly recommend and hope to stay again!"

"The cabin was wonderful. It was a little chilly the first night. But Peter was great and brought a couple of heaters over. The cabin has a wood burning fireplace. Peter supplied a lot of wood for it. Which we did use it all. Sorry Peter. Great location for visiting the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Boothbay. And we got to see the Northern Lights with the naked eye! The highlight of the trip! Would definitely stay again! "

"Our party of 8 enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped and stocked to get you started. Conveniently located to town and the Botanical Gardens. Plenty of outside space for kids to run around and play. It has a beautiful view of the cove but is very rocky. This didn't stop us from hunting hermit crabs and catching fish. The house is old but that gives it the Maine charm. "
