"The location is awesome. The facilities are just ok. The bed was a mattress on the floor, and no chair in the room at all. I put the toilet seat cover down to sit on it, and it broke. The manager/owner attempted to charge me RP500,000 for the toilet seat. I bought a new one and gave it to him, and my cost was RP85,000."

"If you are searching for total isolation, this villa is right up your alley. There are no taxi services and no restaurants other than the villa’s which has limited meal options. The villa is located in a farming and very poor part of Bali. The flies are constant which makes sitting outside uncomfortable. For meals, we ate in our room so as to elude them. We had three nights booked but only stayed for two."

"Very friendly helpful staff. The grounds and casitas are nice and the views of the lake and volcano are really nice. Of course, the flies are incessant in the morning. They seem to fade away in the afternoon and evening. The hotel is a short drive to the start of Mt Batur hike and you can hire a guide at this hotel. Highly recommend the hike. "One of the best hidden gem in Kintamani area. This place has best view of mountain and lake. All staff is very friendly & helpful. The access to property is a bit confusing, you should ask around in case if you got lost. But it’s super worth it. I want to come back again for sure!"

"Beautiful oasis of calm serenity in north Bali. Close to Lovina with convenient shuttle service or drivers provided for tours and outings. But allow plenty of time for simply relaxing at this small, beautifully appointed property with Balinese’s charm, delightful staff, luxurious spa, and a talented chef. 5-star everything, loved this place!"

"Great stay at the Oculus hotel. Food and facilities are amazing with excellent service. The hotel is located on a steep incline with lots of steps and hillu walks into Kintamanti so not recommended for someone with limited accessibility or pushchairs. We booked this hotel to do the Jeep Adventure to Mount Batur and it's a perfect location to relax and unwind away from the south madness. "

Fantastic

"Everything was fantastic. The resort was beautiful and very well maintained. Also very quiet which was perfect for us. There were always workers watering the plants and sweeping the grounds to make everything look beautiful. Pool area by the beach was amazing and had the best sunset views. Everyone on the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Any person you walked by would say hi and how are you. All the staff working the restaurant and pool area were very attentive and so nice. Room was very spacious and clean. Wi-Fi worked great in the room and by the pool area. Not a single thing I would complain about!"
