Relax by "The Water's Edge" & enjoy amazing views and year round fun! 6BR/3.5BA

Welcome to our happy place! We recently purchased this home in November, 2023 and have been working hard to get it ready to enjoy!

This home will be available to rent in three different configurations: 6BR/3.5BA, 3BR/2.5BA, or a 3BR/1BA unit. ****This is the listing for the 6BR/3.5BA configuration**** Please contact us for pricing on one of the other configurations if needed.

Lovely and spacious home on Lake Bomoseen with the ability to hold 16 people! The main floor includes large living room, kitchen, dining room, half bath and laundry room. Above the main floor are 3 bedrooms including the main bedroom with ensuite and a full bathroom. The lower level contains a living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, full bath and 3 additional bedrooms. This custom built home sits just steps from the lake with a dock space and swimming area. Spend your days enjoying the lake views and sunsets on the wrap around porch and use the open floor plan for family gatherings. This home is meticulously maintained and offers year-round living for all four seasons. There is plenty of room for your family and friends. Close to Killington (45 min), Okemo (45 min), Rutland (20 min) and more!

The property has a dock, swimming/fishing area, deck, front porch, ground floor deck, fire pit, grill, outdoor dining and seating access to tons of biking and hiking trails, and views of the lake with beautiful sunsets. We are a quick walk to Crystal Beach! Boat rentals can be arranged through Woodard's on the south side of the lake, or you can bring your own boat and use our dock.

In the fall, take in the colorful foliage around the lake along with pumpkin and apple picking at one of the nearby orchards. You can also stop in at one of the many farmer's markets and fall festivals in the area. In the winter, you can enjoy ice skating, skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. Head on over to Killington for more fun in the snow! At the mountain, you can hop on a scenic gondola ride or snow tube. Down in town you can take a guided snow shoe or snow mobile tour. Not interested in the cold? Make yourself an appointment at Killington's Grand Spa to relax and melt all that tension away.

Our home operates on well. For this reason, we ask our guests to be cognizant of their water use. We have taken numerous precautions to avoid the well running dry including an addition of a 1000 gallon holding tank and water efficient fixtures.

This home has one Ring doorbell camera located on the right side of front door which looks out to the street. In addition, we have security cameras over the garage, yard and back of the house. There are no indoor cameras located on property.

This perfect lakeside gem, such a find!
I booked this house based primarily on its location (easy access to a lake/hikes); size (we needed lots of room for 10 people); and availability. This fit our requirements, and when we got there, exceeded our expectations. Our family loved everything about the home and property from its location in a quiet lakeside community to its décor and spaciousness and all the amenities inside or outside. The location is central to some nice hikes. Crystal Beach is just around the corner, literally. The best part of the house is the fact that you can walk a few hundred feet right to the lake. Beautiful. The biggest hit with the kids in our party, however, was small, cozy, playroom on the second floor of the house! That was such a sweet touch, and it made sure that there were activities the kids could enjoy both outside and inside. There was a fairly brand-new gas grill outside, which made most of our dinners (have to grill outdoors every chance we could get). We also took advantage of the beautifully arranged outdoor firepit. It was perfect to roast smores which our host so kindly provided to us as a welcome gift. This was such a great find, and I am so glad we booked this beautifully loved home. This was a perfect location to end our summer of 2024.

Amazing house and location.
Our family of 12 adults and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Waters Edge. The house is beautifully decorated with many luxurious touches. The wine basket and a s’mores kit were tasty surprises. Four different methods to make coffee- Keurig, Nepresso, French Press and regular coffee machine. Separate temperature controls in each comfortable bedroom, a HUGE perk. Kitchens are well stocked with beautiful quality dining/cooking items for large families. Often vacation houses are stocked with tired cookware and dishes, not here! Dining seating is plentiful. In the evening, the living room was our central gathering place for board games, cards and just hanging out. The spacious grounds include a dock (We rented a boat, highly recommend), nice swimming area(good shallow entrance for the littles and due to lake bottom of some rocks, some of our party used water shoes) plenty of room for yard games and an awesome fire pit with chairs. The house has an amazing number of parking spots too. It easily fit our 7 cars and trailer with room for more! We enjoyed many local attractions; Wilson Castle, Crowley Cheese making, The Original Vermont Country Store, Killington, State park, Bomoseen Golf Club, Bomoseen diner, Lakehouse restaurant and Lake Bomoseen lodge. Highly recommend all! And don’t miss the maple creemees at Robo’s Creemees! Our host was very responsive to our questions. She’s just the best!! We hope to stay at this wonderful house again.

Great week with family
House was very nice, with plenty of room for 14 people (8 adults, 6 children). Large common rooms for board games, etc, and large decks, fire pit area. Small swimming area by house, but nice beach a very short ride away. Lake water was very clear and we especially enjoyed the canoe that came with the property. Host Dawn was very responsive to our questions and needs.

Great spot for a family vaca!
Water’s Edge was a lovely stay for a (large) family vacation and birthday celebration. To celebrate my dad’s 60th we got as many of the siblings and nieces and nephews/grandkids together as we could. The house had plenty of room with multiple accommodating bedrooms, a large kitchen for cooking family-sized meals, and plenty of space for indoor or outdoor eating. The spacious living room saw many late night competitive card and board games and a few family movie nights. Dawn was very quick to communicate and I never had to worry about not getting a response or an answer to a question - whether ahead of our stay or during. The entire family had a great time. As I begin to search for our family vaca spot for 2025 I will definitely be looking for availability here again!

Great Getaway
We had a blast at the property this past weekend. They did an amazing job, decorating and making this space feel like home away from home for all guests. It was plenty of parking and we had a great time playing in the snow in the yard. The lake was frozen and perfect to walk out on, if there wasn’t snow on it, we would’ve skated. We even saw people in their ice fishing huts. They had a wonderful welcome binder that gave us suggestions on places to eat where we can get groceries and liquor and even things to do in the area. We took a day trip to Weston And saw Killington Mountain. There was plenty of room for all our guests and we even like the little touches. They added like having some board games and an espresso machine. We would gladly come back for another vacation in the winter and hope to plan something in the future during the warmer months . Five stars.
