"We stayed for almost 2 months at JC's Gite at Samois-sur-Seine. It's always a bit daunting to commit to a long stay like this, but with such strong reviews we thought it would be perfect for us to spend time in a nice location, close to bouldering and the Fontainebleau community. It certainly lived up to our expectations and more. JC is very friendly and accommodating. You have the Seine a short walk away and the entire property is beautiful and well looked after, as is the Gite. The bakery in town is great, and the Pizza restaurant a walk down the hill by the Seine - also great. Short trip in the car into Font and close to some great, family friendly climbing areas. The Gite is very separate to the main residence on the property, and you always feel you have privacy. I worked remotely and held video calls with contacts in North America, Europe and Australia, and never once had an issue with the connection. We had everything we needed for a long stay in the Gite and if you were looking to do an extended climbing trip in Fontainebleau, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. "

"The apartment is very spacious with good amenities. Milena and Benjamin were very responsive and met my arrival to explain everything. Always reachable and quick to respond. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold and dreary but I can imagine how beautiful it is in spring and summer. Bois-le-Roi has easy access to Gare de Lyon and the village also has all amenities, many restaurants, grocery, etc. I would definitely recommend their place."

"We stayed during the Olympic Games in August 2024 an the hotel was super busy. The staff were really helpful, room was clean and airconditioned. The breakfast was perfect for this type of hotel. You could not ask for a better experience."

"Comfortable and convenient hotel. It looks big but is really quite small. The grounds are in need of a gardener but the oak forest in front of the hotel shield it from a very busy road. There is a Buffalo Grill opposite but there is no pedestrian exit so a little difficult in my opinion. The hotel is very close to Vaux le Vicomte and Fontainebleau if like us you like visiting chateaux."
