"The place looked nice. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Took personal care of their guest and even had suggestions. Gave us a little gift at our checkout. Breakfast was good however for lunch and dinner you need to go into town. It was heavily windy and raining during our stay so phone signal and internet was weak but they had a pool table, games and books to keep us entertained. "Foods are okay. Damaged/torn bedding and towels, dust came from the ceiling, used/dirty duvet covers, one bed was broken and kept top of the on the wood, outdated shower room. Not value for money. "

"The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable and clean. The carpets and bathrooms were not as clean. The showers were unreliable, with low water pressure and unreliable heat. The staff were not hospitable or conscientious and the hotel listings we’re confusing. No food is available from the hotel. Overall the space had a dreary colonial vibe."

"We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. "

"The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. It was clean and comfortable and a 15 minute walk into town. The next morning we were given a great breakfast and then walked into the tea field adjoining the property.
