"My wife and I go to Southend often and found the Hamiltons Boutique Hotel which we haven't stayed in before. We had a message in the morning to confirm what time we'll be arriving which I thought was a nice touch. We had a lovely welcome and being out of season, we was given the Hamilton Suite with a sea view. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and bright with lots of light. The next morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast each. 100% will be out "go to" hotel when we go to Southend now. Great...

Lovely B&B, our room was great, clean and well appointed with little extra touches like the sweets and biscuits. Lisa our host couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent. "Actually, I was sick the entire time I was there, not the fault of the Black Horse. However, the parking situation is terrible. While sick, I had to move the car several times. I found my rental car was side-swiped, and I'm having to pay for damages my insurance doesn't cover. Again, not the fault of the Black Horse."

"Very welcoming hosts. Stayed in a cabin in the garden of the property; very cosy, great super king size bed & huge shower. Plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate/biscuits that could be replenished daily. You could order breakfast at the same cost as ordering with the booking. Approx 25minute walk from the station down the crab & winkle way. Nice outdoor seating to have drinks/food at. Helpful to be able to leave our luggage at the accommodation on the last day. A great trip - definitely recommend!"

"Driftwood Beachhouse is perfectly located to enjoy fresh air, birdsong and peace and quiet. Jez was a great host, really friendly and accommodating, giving us helpful local advice and getting the hot tub ready each evening. Breakfast was delicious. "We fell in love with Whitstable and the cottage. It looks exactly like the pictures. The owners have renovated this beautiful cottage to a great standard. The log burner was perfect to come back to after an autumnal walk a long the beach. The location is faultless, you are so close to lots of great restaurants and shops as well as the beach and harbour. "

"Porperty exactly as advertized. Lovely location close to tourist sites, really comfortable and well stocked. Better than any other properties I have stayed in. Do think bathrooms should have better heating options and imagine in winter get quite cold. Also quite expensive compared to others of same ilk but as I said extremely well maintained so depends on your budget and amount of people travelling. "
