Nestled in the woods in Bloomingdale with gorgeous views of Whiteface Mtn and McKenzie Mtn Range this lovely secluded spacious year-round open floor plan cabin in the woods is perfect for families, couples, or group of friends looking to escape the daily routines and experience all that the ADK region has to offer. Only 10 mins to Saranac Lake, 25 mins to Lake Placid, 35 mins to Whiteface Mtn, 45 mins to Titus Mtn, 7 mins to Mt Pisgah, and endless other outdoor adventures including Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiling, Snowshoeing, World Class Hiking and Rock climbing, Fishing, Boating, Cycling, Paddling…and so much more! We are centrally located so every direction brings a new adventure including short scenic drives to Montreal, Canada and Lake Champlain. Stay onsite for a rejuvenating escape while enjoying the sanctuary of the woods or get out and explore all that the region has to offer. Amidst spectacular mountain views and surrounded by nature, Camp Cardinal is a fully equipped mountain house on almost 3 secluded acres where you are bound to find relaxation amongst pine and birch forest and visits from deer, turkeys, rabbits, foxes, and possible other wildlife.

Dogs welcome! Maximum of 2 dogs per stay. There is a $150 fee per pet (Max 2) Please make sure to notify owner at the time of booking. Sorry but NO cats!

Sleep accommodations up to 10 people. Master bedroom with a King size bed, 2 spacious bedrooms with Queen beds, 1 large bedroom with two cozy twins, as well as a full-size futon in main room on first level.
Master bath with separate shower and jacuzzi tub for two and two additional full baths on main and first levels.

-6-8 person Hot Tub located outside back deck
-Exceptional Wi-Fi. Excellent for a working remotely.
-Located on a private road. During winter, an all-wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended.
-All bedding, towels, & linens are provided
-The kitchen is fully stocked! Glassware, dishware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, large fridge/freezer with ice maker, toaster oven, baking essentials, Keurig, drip coffeemaker, microwave, blender, electric tea kettle, and dishwasher.
-Separate dining room seating for up to 8.
-Washer/Dryer
-Outside gas grill and fire pit (firewood provided)
-Radiant in floor heat
-Pellet woodstove to take the chill out of the cool nights
-Great room with cathedral ceilings and large windows with walkout deck with a three-season mountain views, a picnic table and other outdoor seating

Security cameras are used outside the property for safety/security purposes only overlooking the driveway. There are no cameras inside the premises.

Great Family Getaway
Camp Cardinal was the perfect location for our family trip. Location was close to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. Bonus, brewery right down the road. Recommend ride from Bloomingdale to Whiteface. Nice scenic ride. House has everything you could need. Heated floors keep you nice and warm.

Fun family getaway
We stayed as a group of 9 (+ 2 dogs) over the holidays and this space fit us perfectly without feeling crowded. Great kitchen for preparing family meals. The hot tub is well maintained with good jets. Foosball and table tennis in the games area downstairs were a hit. Nice views from the property, which is pretty far from anything by foot, but that's part of the appeal. Reasonable drive (~20 min) to Saranac lake, <40 min to Adk Loj. This is a lovely holiday property!

Beautiful property with a fantastic view
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. My father, wife, two daughters, and our puppy spent a week in this fantastic getaway that is just minutes away from great fishing and hiking. The owners were wonderful and helpful people who’s personal touches for our family really made our arrival feel special. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a spacious home that’s friendly to families with pets, look no further. You’ve found it.

Awesome Girls Weekend Getaway!
Spectacular home nestled around a private wooded area. Everything was perfect for our girlfriend's getaway weekend. The home is well furnished, and kitchen fully equipped with all that you will need. Added outdoor hot tub was perfect to relax in, master bedroom's jacuzzi and dbl sinks were very nice too! The home was very clean and hosts Richard and Jocelyn were very accommodating! Always responded to our questions right away! After snowing a couple days, they had driveway and deck cleared off...even the hot tub : ) I would highly recommend renting this beautiful getaway : )

A piece of heaven in the mountains
We stayed at Camp Cardinal for the 2024 Solar Eclipse and our first ever multigenerational family trip. The Camp could not have been more perfect for our purposes. The camp was well appointed, decor was lovely, the space clean. We enjoyed the fire pit for s’mores, the hot tub, and the kitchen and large dining table for many family meals. We especially appreciated the ramp up to the main floor, which provided easier access into the space for one grandma who uses a walker. The water pressure was phenomenal and everyone raved about their luxe showers! We’ve been visiting the High Peaks for nearly 20 years, and we look forward to returning to Camp Cardinal in the future. It was the perfect place to convince our hotel-oriented parents that a house stay is the best way to travel!

We needed lodging for our work crew for a work project and this beautiful home did not disappoint! Our friendly crew loved finishing each day with a soak in the hot tub and serious ping pong rallies. Excellent getaway for larger groups!
We went to Camp Cardinal in the summer. It’s a beautiful and luxurious cottage that has all the amenities and is close to whatever you might want to do in the Adirondacks. Richard and Jocelyn were very quick to reply to any questions or needs we had. The property was very clean and comfortable, and our responsibilities as guests were quite reasonable. Thank you for a great vacation!

Peaceful, clean, beautifl and well-appointed getaway, highly recommend
Camp Cardinal was a beautiful, well-appointed and peaceful getaway for our family. Our family of 6 include children ranging in age from young adults to teenagers. We all found the home provided personal space as well as ample room for gathering as a group. Very clean, bathrooms were great, particularly the master bath. Other than food and drinks, it had everything we needed and wanted already provided. Jocelyn responded quickly to any questions we had about the property and the traveler book provided links and suggestions about activities year-round. There's no central air, but 3 portable AC units cooled the home down when needed. One portable unit was already installed when we arrived. The other two took less than 5 minutes (tops) to install. We have done it before, so we knew what to do, but it's not complicated even if you've never installed one before. Internet speed w/6 media-heavy users plus streaming in the evening for a movie night never lagged or dropped connection. Very easy to find. GPS directions took us right to the house. This was helpful for the grocery delivery drivers (Instacart) to drop off groceries after we arrived. We've stayed in many rentals from Maine to Maui. Camp Cardinal ranks among the best. Perfect surroundings, home and hosts. Highly recommending it to friends and family. Would love to return.

We had a great stay at Camp Cardinal. The views were outstanding and the house had plenty of room! We enjoyed sledding in the front yard, snowshoeing around the property, and nights relaxing in the hot tub. We can’t wait to come back!

Winter getaway magic!
We gathered with our adult daughters and son in law. House was roomy, clean and the picture window view was fabulous. The kitchen was spacious and gave room for all of us to cook meals together. On the sub-zero nights, the outdoor hot tub was the most memorable after a day of cross country skiing ..Jocelyn was very attentive to our needs and available by phone or text.. Hope to return.

The house is Beautiful. Very clean, fully stocked. Everything as described. A little bit of a ride to Whiteface, about 40 minutes. Enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Wonderful Home in the Adirondacks.
Very nice home, with a lot of amenities tucked away in a small town in the Adirondacks. Beautiful outdoor area, with 4 bedrooms and two living rooms with TV’s. Great view from the upper living room. Well stocked kitchen. It was our base for many adventures during our stay.
