"Extremely nice facility! Plenty of room for a large group. Well stocked with all the supplies needed. It was very icy weather when we arrived in January ( of course - it's Colorado), therefore being located at a high altitude we had a little trouble getting up the road leading to the cabin. But the neighbors were excellent to help us. Really good neighborhood, very friendly and willing to help us in any way. Neighbors even loaned us snow sleighs to use. Things I wish I would have known ahead of time: no WiFi on property (which makes tv unusable unless you have cell service up there - we did not), no washer/dryer, no dishwasher, gas fireplace doesn’t work, and minimal indoor lighting. "This was a quaint little cabin. It is pretty small but had all the amenities, even some bear spray. There are 4 beds for 8 people and one bathroom. Not much of a front or back porch. The master bed was memory foam and felt like a soap dish. Some of the windows do not have coverings. It is at least a 25 minute drive to the highway. Then an hour in either direction for a town. So it is isolated. Overall it was an ok stay."

"The house was neat and quiet,each room had its own unique feeling of peace and relaxation. The country kitchen was awesome, and bar/family room was cozy. Enjoyed ping pong as well. The host was fabulous amazing intriguing and fun. We partied we saw the whole ranch, played with cows horses and dog. Unique location unique host. Must stay VRBO again. "

"The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate...
