"An enjoyable weekend break, the room was very spacious with a large bathroom and powerful shower. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a self service breakfast was available with cereals, bread for toasting (there was also bacon, scambled egg and beans available). There was off road parking on site for all those staying there. The booking in process prior to arrival was very clear and concise"

"Apart from them not expecting me, they weren't doing breakfast and the telly was broken, I have no complaints. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was just what was hoped for with a comfortable bed and functioning hot shower. A bit pricey for a pub in April."

"Lovely guest house with a warm and welcoming host!… very much enjoyed my stay and everything was perfect. Cosy and comfortable clean room, with all the necessary facilities (plenty of tea/coffee/milk/sugar) to make many cups! Not like hotels in which you’re lucky to get 2. The room was nice and warm, with extra radiators which I was thankful for as I do feel the cold easy, so I felt very cosy! Bed was comfortable and shower was nice and hot. No dips in water temperature. Nice touch with mini shampoo/body washes. The picnic breakfasts included were brilliant! They consisted of banana, cereal bar, yoghurt, chocolate muffin and an orange juice box, which was perfect for me - especially when on the go! 👌 There is also a little kitchen/breakfast area downstairs which consisted of cutlery/plates etc for your personal use. A microwave, and extra tea/coffee/sugar/milk, bottled water (you also receive this in your room, and diluted juice. The area is quiet, there are some pubs around the village, and the drive to this guest house is beautiful!… If you are looking to explore the area, it’s in a fantastic location for biking/walking/hiking. You receive a key for your room and one for the front door, which is very useful when coming in late at night, so you don’t disturb anyone and let yourself in. I was very impressed for the price! "I arrived early but was able to access my room straight away. I was initially told that my room still had to be paid for but I had prepaid. This was resolved quickly however. The hotel is conveniently located on a regular bus route and I took the opportunity to visit Blaenau Ffestiniog 20 minutes away. The evening meal was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu. My room was fine and extremely comfortable. Some slight traffic noise as it was at the front of the property."

"All previous reviews cover it really. The house has everything you need to have a great week, cook large meals if needed, heating more that sufficient to battle even minus temperatures outside, modern windows that open (something we’ve found old properties often don’t have) for summer months. It’s location at the end of 2 miles of single track (plenty of passing places) means no through traffic. One house and a farm beyond us meant the only vehicles we saw was delivery drivers. The quiet was just amazing.The minus for us was it seems they rely on the previous tenants heeding the instructions and hoovering before they leave. Someone before us obviously didn’t as when I came to do so the hoover revealed a lot of golden retriever like long hair in the lounge. Our dog has short hair. I spent almost an hour scrubbing away with the hoover but its suction was not as it should be (I have the same hoover and it’s much more powerful). So my only suggestion would be add a 40 cleaning fee to the booking and hire someone up to the task.That said, we will definitely book again. But maybe bring our own hoover."

"This property is definitely value for money. It is close to lots of things to do with the family in north wales. The house is not where Google maps thinks it is so make sure you follow the instructions from the property manager. And the payment don’t go through from VRBO to the property manager but that was sorted swiftly. The house itself is as described, kitchen was well equipped, the living room was big enough for the 7 of us and the bedrooms were perfect for a short stay. Overall we enjoyed our 4 days in north wales. "
