Met some awesome people at the motel. Being Father's Day weekend was awesome and the weather was hot. Perfect for swimming at Johnston shut-ins state park about 10min drive. "We booked several rooms for our family due to a funeral in the area. They were very accomodating and put our very large group (8 rooms) all together on one side of the building. Good location. Close to elephant rocks and johnson shutins. "

"This served as a perfect base of operations for visiting the Shut Ins and seeing Ironton’s Mountain Music Festival. Being on the backside of Shepard Mountain it’s super quiet and separated from the world… but town is only a few minutes away around on the other side of the base of the mountain. It had everything you would want in an experience if you were camping, like a fire pit, endless stars, and all the quiet of being remote in the forest alone…. But inside it’s nice the cabin , clean, all freshly redone with all of the comforts of home including WIFI and AC. We loved our stay and will be back. Thanks Katie!!"
