We booked the "Cook at home" experience and I have to say it was one of the best meals we have ever had. "If you're looking for a simple place to stay this place is wonderful. 4km from the main road in amongst the hills of Tuscany. The villa is clean and simple. The owners were very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom very clean and new. We lacked a kettle or large mugs in the kitchen but boiled water in a pan and had brought some plastic cups with us as we are avid tea drinkers but tea is not so readily found here. Her clean, well-stocked, adorable apartment is on the 3rd floor and the elevator right next door was very convenient for heavy suitcases. "It started with our amazing host, Lorella, whose family are long time residents of Manarola. Her well prepared welcome book had all the information we needed on trains, boats and suggested restaurants. The apartment was clean and included a kitchen so we could make our own meals. But the highlight is the deck which overlooks the town and sea. We wound up spending alot of time on the deck with a glass of wine watching the world go by."
