"The hotel is busy and has a modern vibe to it. With a digital check in system and Starbucks on the lobby, its fantadtic. The pool and Gym are really really good too."

"I had a fabulous trip away for my birthday. This was the 3rd time coming here. The last time was 5 years ago for my 40th so thought I'd replicate it for my 45th. Both were solo trips. The pool is lovely, the massage and facial is booked were amazing and the afternoon tea was fabulous. The only downside was the dinner on my birthday. I'd stipulated it was my birthday on booking and been told they'd do something special for the dinner but other than a few sparkles on the table saying happy birthday it wasn't even acknowledged by any of the wait staff. The female staff couldn't even summon up a smile. (The male was friendlier but still not even a word about my birthday) I wasn't sure expecting much but just to be wished happy birthday would have been nice. 5 years ago I got a plate with petit fours and happy birthday written in chocolate but this time nothing. Had I not made a point of it being a birthday dinner would have been different but I had and been promised something. On the plus side the food was lovely. And the rosé wine was the best I've had in a long time. breakfasts were also good and freshly made with plenty of choice for both continental and cooked. "

"First time I've stayed at this hotel. Room was nice, clean with a comfy bed, shower powerful. Had a meal in the restaurant. The food was very nice. "

"I stayed two nights while visiting family and friends. Great value and included breakfast. The breakfast was buffet styles with full english as well as toast, pastries, yogurt etc. Fruit juice and hot drinks. The hot breakfast was overall good with quality bacon, hash browns, eggs, beans and sausages. However the sausages were very cheap and had no taste, avoid them. Everything else was outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. There is a nice lounge with comfy chairs and open fire. Rooms are very clean with comfy beds, there are some signs that a bit of redecoration will be needed before long but don’t let you put you off. Nothing broken anywhere. Plenty of free monitored parking. I will be using this hotel again when I have my regular trips to the area. Much better than the usual travel inn places. Forgot to mention the restaurant and bar is open each evening as well. "

"Lovely large comfortable room and bed. Good view right over town and common. Only had one breakfast, but it was very good with lots of choices. "

"Liked the ground floor junior suite which is dog friendly and our dig cannot do stairs. It was comfortable for all of us with plenty of room for the dog. "

"A lovely mini weekend getaway, which I would thoroughly recommend. Greeted in arrival with a glsss of Prosecco and room was ready!! Room was spacious but slightly lacking in storage space. Spa room is lovely but can get overcrowded so maybe not quite as romantic / peaceful as you want. Lack of hanging space (robes) in the Spa. Steam room didn’t feel like a steam room, unfortunately but that’s the only down side. Staff were attentive at all times, polite and made us feel very welcomed! Firepit is a must! Lovely food! Slightly expensive but I guess that’s the going rate for quality service. Would visit again. "
