"We stayed here as a family of 19 for 2 nights over New Year ranging from age 5-70. It was good as we all had our own individual cottages with kitchens, living rooms and bathroom which gave us our own space but the communal area is the Hall was being enough when we wanted to be together. Only issue was the gas heaters and log burners not working properly in a couple of cottages but electric heaters were available and there is central heating in two of the cottages. Host was great and was available quickly if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend this property. "

"Stayed in Room 1 The Mellington suite which is a lovely room, fabulous views, feature four poster bed and a huge jacuzzi bath. Had both lunch and dinner and the Food and drink were very good. I can recommend the Porterhouse steak, absolutely delicious. All local produce and excellent wines from tanners of Shrewsbury. Cask ales and flagon cider were also very good. The staff and the locals are friendly and welcoming . Also met the owners who were also very welcoming and told us all about the history of the hall. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again."
