"This was a two night stopover to allow us to ride around the Cantel region and, in particular, the rim of the volcano (long since gone). The appearance of th hotel upon arrival gives little credit for how comfortable the rooms are and how pleasing the restaurant is. It is little surprise that the hotel is used by tradesmen and appears to be full all the time. Very pleased with our stay and would recommend."

The corridors and the rooms themselves were decorated in a very dark scheme, which even with the lights on was a little difficult to always see well. "Just a one night stay, sadly. Easy parking just over the road. Lovely room in top condition. Earplugs kindly supplied to help deal with the road noise from the bridge, but we didn't find it overly disturbing. Breakfast very good, but at 15 Euros the priciest of our trip round France. They also seemed understaffed at breakfast as the same staff were having to juggle reception duties as well."

"We had a great time at Pierre's lovely converted barn in Sonac. The kitchen area was excellent - very well equipped, which made it easy to cater for nine people. The pool area was absolutely perfect and a hit with everyone. The huge garden was well used by all, both of our dogs and the children. The rooms also comfortably accommodated everyone. Pierre was an excellent host who made us very welcome. We'd love to return."
