"We had a superb stay. It was the first time we'd been to that part of France. The gîte was lovely, well equipped and full of character. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and garden. They would have been happy with 7 days of swimming and table tennis. We did end up hanging out by the pool at some point every day. "A lovely rural location very quiet and charming hosts. A car is essential and there is a nearby lake Saint-Pardoux with numerous activities. Late check-in at 6.00pm made the first day challenging. Hosts Louise and James were fantastic and very helpful."

"This place is great. When we booked the Gîte, we didn’t realize the place has camping and glamping sites, too. We look forward to going back in the warmer months to try them out. "This is a well equipped new house with en-suite bath/shower rooms to every bedroom. The area is quite beautiful and we enjoyed trips into Bessines-sur-Gartempe, and all the lovely lakes around. We were seven of us for most of the time and there was plenty of room and facilities for us. Although we were happy here and had a wonderful time there were a couple of gripes. We did not find the spiral staircase that easy for access to the upstairs and particularly to take our luggage up and down. The...
