"Beautiful views there where no curtains so 5am I woke up because it was bright. Everything for cooking was available and the balcony totally nice during the day and the night. Beds were comfortable. 99% clean just a little dusty. "

"Cottage #13 was clean, modern fixtures and appliances, very well stocked with kitchen utensils and housewares. Booking on-line was efficient, and communication with the property managers (Alder Bay RV park and marina) was excellent. Office staff were present 8am to 8pm and helpful. The location is very convenient: the bear watching (Sea Wolf) and whale watching (Sea Smoke) tour boats coming from Port McNeill and Alert Bay will pick you up on the Alder Bay marina dock, which will save you a lot of time because Alder Bay is their last passenger pick-up point before heading out see the wildlife, and their first drop-off point when coming back."

"We decided to stay on Cormorant Island while doing a loop trip from Kamloops around the Discovery Heritage trail to Prince Rupert - ferry to p Port Hardy - then down Vancouver Island and back home through Vancouver. Alert Bay is unique with a rich cultural history. We did a hike - the tall tree hike and it was short but beautiful...as well as a beach walk on rhe north side of the island. The Nimpkish Inn was a wonderful place to stay. It is an older place but has charm! Very clean with friendly owners.....we would definitely recommend."

"We loved our stay here. The pictures don't do the view justice. Every night we spent just looking out at the water watching the eagles fly by. The house was very clean and had all the supplies you would need to self-cater. I would definitely return! Great location for exploring the area. Highly recommend!"

"Alert Bay is on a small island. The facility is centrally located with a restaurant and is adjacent to the RCMP station, liquor and grocery store. The amenities are great for families and it also has a beautiful view of the ocean. The owners were very accommodating and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. "
