"A convenient place to stay, just a short walk from the train station. The room was nicely decorated and although advertised as cosy, it was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable and more than sufficient amenities for a few nights stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the shower wasn’t very hot or powerful. Great food in the pub downstairs from a varied menu. "

"Fantastic place to stay, friendly owners, amazing views, facilities were great and we loved seeing the animals. Have already recommended it to friends and family and we will return in the summer. The Oddfellows Arms was also a great pub nearby with excellent food. "

"Large rooms on single level and a modern cabin were a welcome change from tiny cottages. The uncleaned toilet was the only negative. The trailer park was in a beautiful setting and excellent location. The facilities were good, but, the restaurant was poor."

"Me and my friend stayed in the lodge during our visit to the Lake District and we absolutely loved it! The lodge was beautiful and felt very homey and the views were incredible. Storm diversion, no problem!

"A last minute change of plans due to the severe weather didn't derail anything too hard. An incredibly peaceful stop with great food and the relaxation urgently needed. Not even a power cut during the night was too much of a problem as the comfortable night's sleep just came a little sooner! Would absolutely return here."
