"Excellent position at the top of the town. Cozy apartment and even though the heat wasn't allowed to be on yet for the season, it was certainly bearable on chilly October days/nights. Some people might dislike the church bells ringing in such close proximity but that never bothered us during our stay. "Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."

"This is a fabulous apartment right in the centre of Bellagio. Very spacious with everything that you need just off the main area. Not far from ferry. Staying here you feel that you are in the heart of Bellagio. Windows/ balcony open out to street below. Loved it!"

"The pictures don’t do this property justice! Modern, sleek, high quality, comfortable. We found this to be perfectly located - in the heart of Bellagio. We could spend time seeing the town and then very quickly escape inside to this quiet sanctuary. Definitely will stay here again!"

"We booked a double room & private bathroom, toiletries, laundry , air conditioning & coffee making facilities. We had to share a bathroom with 2 other apartments , a sofa bed vs a double bed & there were no toiletries & actually no toilet roll, a fan & no air conditioning & no laundry facilities .we also had an issue checking in , initially they had no record of our booking & told us it had been through Expedia ?? We tried to escalate to Hotels.com but they don’t read the emails properly ! "

"Fabulous apartment, comfortable has everything you need. Being next to the Villa Melzi was really great and provides you a long walk along the lake all the way into town. The apartment was everything we could’ve asked for and more. Clean great communication."

"This is an ideal setup, with 3 separate rooms and 3 private bathrooms, with unbelievable views over Bellagio. The decor is updated, and is stocked with basics. The host and owner were overly accommodating from day 1 of our booking, going above and beyond helping with arrangements and special requests. The only comment is that the description is very accurate about the steep drive and final set of stairs to the property - but how else would you have such a fine hilltop view!"

"This place was misleading in the description. They did not specify that one of the listed “beds” is actually a blow up mattress. Also very upset that when we booked this placed we were clear that we were traveling with a two month old infant and no one thought to mention that there are three flights of very dangerous outdoor stairs to climb. Very unsafe and disappointing. "

"Stay here. Book it IMMEDIATELY. Worth every penny. It is a beautiful flat and could not ask for a better location. We had no issue dropping our luggage and then parking somewhere else. Don’t let that scare you away. If you’re a light sleeper and go to bed early or sleep late, know that a ferry is directly outside the flat and does use it’s horn upon arrival and departure."

Just what we wanted

"The hotel is so conveniently located that we as many others, were able to walk from the airoport to the hotel in a short time. The receptionist was friendly and professional and gave us very good recommendations. We had a nice dinner at their cute restaurant and booked a shuttle for the next day very early flight. The hotel is modern with a very pleasant design, and very clean. The room was spacious with a big and comfortable bed and windows to a nice courtyard. The bathroom was also very nice. The next time we are flying from Orio al Serio to any destination we will for sure book a room at the NH hotel."

"The airport bus drops you right at the door of the hotel, the funicular to the old town is an easy five minute walk and the hotel is well-placed between the old and new town. Breakfast was lovely, there is a restaurant on the roof, it is pricey but the views are really fantastic and the food was delicious. The hotel is also a fifteen minute from Atalanta's stadium. "
