"Aux Herbes Hautes is located in a beautiful place, just by the bord of Pas-de-Calais, but not far from Lille and some of the busy parts of the Nord department of France. The owner keeps a pristine apartment comprising a small kitchen, sitting room and bathroom on the ground floor, with a king bed and bath on the first floor. "What a lovely place - my Frensh is rusty [optimistically] but the lovely landlady speaks like her husband very good English. As there is no dinner service in the hotel they advised us [even on a monday - not many place serve food] to a nearby [7km] restaurant, where we had a fine meal after a long journey"

With good weather, there is enough space outdoors to sit and eat or read. We were told that occasionally the Tour de France goes by this house, and it is relatively close to Lille and the football stadium. It is also close to the historic site Bouvines. This is a good place to stay outside of a large city. We highly recommend this house."

"Lelieu est agreavle er l accueil aussi petit dejeuner a revoir pas de beurre peu de pain peu de cafe 1 jus de fruit pour 2. Sinon il faudrait une enseogne exterieure carr rien n est indiquee. La chambre est belle et spacieuse et propre bien equipee. La clim n est pas,assez puissante donc il a fait tres chaud. Sinon endroit calme "
