"We could not have had a better time. Judy (the hostess) was extraordinary. We decided last minute to get out of town for my wife's birthday and chose this property due to its location, hot tub, and reviews. Judy reached out immediately, communicated seamlessly throughout the process, and met us (despite it being late in the evening) to show us around and demonstrate how everything worked. She had even put up a birthday banner, bought a local treat, and had a card waiting. Unreal. She is without question the kindest host we've encountered to date. The house is quaint, comfortable, and the photos don't do it justice. Book this one with confidence!"

"Beautiful large house in a perfect location - overlooking the canal out to the lake. Inside and out were set up very nicely and the house was extremely well equipped, beds were very comfortable, etc. Communications with the owners were excellent too.We'll definitely come back."

"I stayed at the lodge primarily for the dark skies and was not disappointed....the stars popped by 9pm and were beautiful. The main draws for the lodge are the mt bike lift and trails down the mountain and boat launching. Unfortunately the lake is too low there for any boating. The location is very peaceful so I enjoyed just sitting out and watching nature during the day and some hiking. The room was motel like and was spotless. Full kitchen. Checking in/out was easy and staff were very personable. Other than the biking there is not much else to do there but it makes a great get away otherwise. There is Long Horn Cavern and Inks Lake state park with great hiking trails about a 20 minute drive. This is not a luxury resort but for the price and quality of the accommodations it was really a nice stay."

"We were looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay in the country and we found Artemis Ranch. We stayed in the cottage on the property and I could immediately tell the difference from other vacation homes we’ve visited in the past. The owners really care about the guest experience. There were 2 bottles of wine and a basket full of snacks for the whole family: coffee pods, chips, candy, etc. The fridge was full of bottled water. The cottage was immaculate, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything I needed to cook a nice dinner. Everything was top of the line, including the awesome pellet grill. The hot tub was amazing and looking out over the property with the sky at night and the lit trees at the lodge was beautiful. We were able to fish and catch bass in the lakes. I enjoyed hikes on the gravel roads over bridges and hills with great scenery. The best part, however, was Ty (the owner) so graciously taking us on at least a 2 hour tour of the property and all the animals. My 3 boys were just amazed at everything- including feeding the friendly Rhino, Giraffes, and a sweet deer named chocolate. I don’t know how we will ever top this Vrbo- we felt so welcomed and like VIP guests. Ty is a genuine guy who just loves this property, all his animals, and hosting guests- and to quote him “what’s the point of having all this if you can’t share it?” Thank you Ty!! We will be back! "

"Members of the staff were friendly, cheerful, and efficient. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Our experience was very pleasant, and we will return next time we are in the area."

"Really nice, comfortable home for 4 of us. Only having 1 restroom for two women to get ready for a wedding was a challenge. Location was nice However for fishing or enjoying the lake, I would say it is ideal. We we're very greatful the owner was friendly and very accommodating. I would suggest putting in larger mirror and maybe a TV for the bedrooms. However, we would not hesitate to book this place again in the future. "
