"The hotel is in a good spot for exploring Cerdanya and is on a main road below Bellver de Cerdanya which is a lovely small town with bars, restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel is older style but very comfortably furnished and well maintained. We ate in the restaurant on Sunday evening, the 25e 3 course menu had good choices and included wine. "Before I booked I read all the reviews and there were those who hated the place and those who obviously loved it so I decided to give it a go. We have a house on the coast so at worst we could have driven back home. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The Fonda is situated right in the centre of a pleasant village and the reception was manned. "The people at the reception desk were incredibly nice and polite. The breakfast was really good. The area is good also with a nearby town that has a lot of dining options. Just be aware there is a large deposit that you have to put on the room and a lot of rules such as cleaning the entire apartment before checking out or you will lose a portion of the deposit depending on what you didn’t do.
