"There was a pageant going on so there were kids and drunk moms running around until 4am. The building has seen better days, quite dated. I was traveling for work so I ate at the hotel restaurant. Very good food but I wouldn't have eaten there on my own dime. VERY expensive for what you get."

"The mansion is beautiful, with large rooms in the upstairs bedrooms. The 2 bedrooms in the basement were a bit small and a bit Spartan. Quaint, New England-like town very close to Ho Hum Beach with good restaurants and a really nice community theater: Gateway, where we saw Brookhaven's own resident actor: Isabella Rossellini in her outstanding one-woman (and a dog, trainer) show.
