"Stayed for two nights while visiting Cadaques, Llanca, and Port de Selva. Great location to explore all these areas. Positives: - Great location. Quiet and lovely - Wonderful breakfast provided - Friendly staff, particularly David who was most helpful - short drive to all three locations above. - Medieval feel as the rooms are attached to a winery. The building is very old. Negatives: - Bed was quite firm, common in Europe. "

"This is an exceptional property, beautifully restored from a sprawling 17th century Catalan farmhouse. The couple that run it are very engaging and helpful and the food, prepared by the husband, is simply outstanding. It is very much in the country and a great place to relax and disconnect, which was what we wanted from the experience. If you want a more urban experience, this is not the place for you, but we just loved it. It was stunning."

"In general is a very nice property, as far as, comfort, breakfast, staff, the property by itself, and little details offered to the guests, such as daily fruit and liquor in the room. What we did not like was that the breakfast is offered from 9:00 to 11:00 am. If you need to leave early for any reason you will no have breakfast even if you paid for. The wi-fi is very weak and the A/C does not get cold enough. Overall was a nice stay. "

"Daniel was a wonderful host and chef. The personal attention was a treat, as were the meals. The core of the place is Medieval (maybe 12th-14th century) yet the rooms are modern and comfortable. We loved our stay!"

"Wonderful breakfast with beautiful view from terrace. Operators Laura and Carlos were very helpful and provided useful information to see nearby places. Quiet setting. 4 rooms but no’s 1 and 2 are best because toilets are nearby."

"Very cute. It had everything we needed. It is beside a church so you'll hear bells every 15 minutes or so. The walls also very thick so getting service and wifi can be difficult. Overall, the place was perfect for our needs. "

"We stayed for 4 nights at Mas Masaller with our 17 month old son and loved it. Our son loved playing both outside (trampoline, yard, pool) and inside in the kids play area, and we enjoyed the breakfasts, home-cooked dinners and of course the wonderful places to explore nearby. Highly recommended."

"Wonderful stay at Els Masos d'en Coll. We arrived late and the friendly staff was so helpful, explaining the area to us in detail and giving us restaurant recommendations. The grounds are simply beautiful, a mix of old and new stone that fits in perfectly with the rural surroundings. Our kids loved the pool, the dogs, the geese, the horses, and the delicious, copious continental-style breakfast buffet. "Wonderful property that's close to old town site seeing but not loud that can happen if you're in the middle of everything. Being on top of the hill has the advantage of best place to see the city below and sunset from the beautiful roof top terrace over the mountains on the other side of the city. The location also can make it a bit difficult to walk bach to hotel as other reviews have noted. It's not that bad and if needed you can stop to catch your breath on one of the walls. It is a very short walk to the shops and restaurants down in the old town area. Everything was well cared for and clean. They have an online restaurant and bar so you don't need to head down again if you want to stay there in the evening. Area seems safe and is residential so no need to worry about being out late at night. Highly recommend this modern friendly hotel!"
