My roommate stepped on a SNAKE last night in the room, about 7” long, it went under the air conditioning unit and can’t be found again, that made the night a bit uneasy. I reported it to the front desk immediately but there were no effort made to remedy the situation!"

"While on the surface it appears to be "just another motel" ... it has been renovated very well and the rooms are quite.well appointed, clean, and not the musty motel experience one might fear. New showers/renovated bathrooms, new floors, comfortable beds ... all in all a place i am actually favoriting for the next time i am in the area. "

"With one kid already in college locally and the other on their way there in August we have got to know this neck of the woods quite well in recent years. Driftwood Cottage provides a perfect base for visits to the area with great access to Augusta and Waterville while sitting in the idyllic Belgrade Lakes region.We don’t visit Maine for fancy, we want practical, comfortable, clean and convenient and this house that in spades. We also greatly appreciated the dog-friendliness!Hosts could not have been more welcoming or communicative. So look out, we could be back soon!Thank you!"
